Cannondale Ato

Cannondale Ato
This skate shoe provides a low-profile stylee city shoe that clips in, too, with nice colors and flavors for all the kids to enjoy. With a flat, rubber sole, part-time skaters won't get mistaken for lycra-wearing cyclists.

Who The Shoe Fits: A young rebel with a cause: to pedal until he gets his license and can really tear up the town. Any flat-footed freewheelin' phat Freddy can relate, too.

Set Back: ~$60

Features: It's basically a standard skate shoe with pedal clips - though it is on the stiff side. The soft, thin suede comes in two color schemes: green/black or blue/purple.

Factors: The shoe ain't for weather, it's for city folk who groove with the skaters and BMXers alike, so don't take them on a week-long ride over a mountain pass. As for comfort, they could use some help - maybe an added $20 liner.

Tongue 'n Groove: Cannondale should have an age requirement for these shoes so old folks like myself aren't tempted to strut around thinking they look "hip."
