Lasse Kjus: Exclusive Interview

Questions by Manuèle Lang:
So, nice day, or, nice race today?

Lasse Kjus:
It was great, great. Last time in training, when I've been training I felt quite good, when I was skiing, so I was hoping to get this feeling today also, and I did it. But I didn't know that the tempo was high enough, so high as it was in really, really...a little bit surprised and really happy with the result.

Manuèle:
How different was it for you between the first and the second run?

Lasse:
Nice, it was quite the same. It was nice to ski, and just attack the course, and try to hold the speed up.

Manuèle:
You haven't been there for a long time, since, quite a year...how is it for you to be back?

Lasse:
It's great. It's really great. It's really great to be back.

Manuèle:
A great result in giant today. Does it change something for you for the next season? The good result that you did today?

Lasse:
Has it changed something? I don't know what you mean by...

Manuèle:
The result you did today...what does it change for the rest of the season? Your expectations?

Lasse:
I'm always working for...to do the best, but it's a really great push forward for me to have this really great start. It gave me the confidence to work the same way I've done until now, I've been doing until now. So, it's great, and I'm looking very positively for rest of the season, and for the other two speed disciplines.

Manuèle:
How important was it for you to do a result here in America?

Lasse:
It's important to ski fast in America. It's a big market.

Manuèle:
Thank you, Lasse.
