Avalanche Information Centers

[Avalanche Awareness] [Avalanche Rescue Equipment] [The Basics of Avalanche Safety]
The following is a list of avalanche information centers. Before heading out into the backcountry, be sure to check in with the appropriate agency.
Please note that the centers are publicly funded and as such, are chronically underhanded. Several of the centers have "Friends of..." groups that organize fundraisers, donations, etc. Take time to contact your local organization, make a donation or at least donate your time. The life saved with the information they provide may be your own.
