Below is a map of the Maligne River where we went white water rafting. Apparently, the first white man to see this river was a french explorer. He was attempting to cross it when he was swept downstream with all his gear. When he pulled himself from the water a few miles downstream he was battered, naked and possesionless. He declared the river be named, "Maligne" ("Wicked").
