Hello, it's Ed Viesturs reporting on the Mountain Zone. It's the evening of April 5th. We just spent our first day here at Base Camp, started out as a beautiful sunny day, spent most of the day organizing our gear, setting up our camp and getting our loads ready. We were planning to possibly do a carry to Camp I tomorrow, but it's been snowing now since about 2:00 in the afternoon. It's been snowing for about four hours off and on, lightly and heavily at times.

So, we've decided to spend tomorrow here at [Base] Camp. It's not going to hurt us anyway, as far as acclimatization is concerned, and also it will give us a chance to evaluate what the mountain does once the sun comes up after a snow storm like we're having right now.

So that's all I have to report for now, from Base Camp at 15,200 feet. Everything is going well otherwise. We've got plenty of time and we're going to hang out and see what goes on over the next few days. Talk to you soon.
