Editor's Note: Most of Robert Anderson's call this morning was unintelligible due to a poor connection. The team has arrived in Punta Arenas, is doing fine, and is planning to fly out some time over the next couple of days. Below are snippets from the call.

It's is Robert Anderson calling from Punta Arenas, where it's high summer. We're getting about 18 hours of sunshine each day. It's up before we even want to get up, and then it sets about 11pm.

Yesterday at our Adventure Networks briefing we majored on weather. A big storm is just blowing out, creating more favorable winds. We'll fly, probably, in the next few days. We'll be on a Russian plane, with a Russian crew. It's a (unintelligible) 76. Has four jet engines on it, it'll take us about 41/2 hours on the flight down there.

We'll be in Punta Arenas today, we're off to see the penguins this afternoon...out on the shore not far from here...

In the meantime, we've had good food to eat...
