Hi, this is Intesar Haider, calling in for Antarctica 2003. Happy New Year to all of you. We're all doing well here.

Just to update you...after a day of ferrying loads of about 100 pounds, we spent the day today basically just trying to get a part of our route. We hope to try for the summit tomorrow, but today we essentially climbed up a little bit. We have about 8,000 feet of vertical to go tomorrow, wanted to check out our equipment today, and make sure that we're all set for tomorrow.

And that's about it. We had a little bit of a party yesterday, celebrating New Year's. We made our calls to our family and we're all doing well. Hope to speak to you guys soon. Bye-bye.

Intesar Haider, expedition member and MountainZone.com correspondent
