Premier Resorts Celebrate Warren Miller's Golden Anniversary Film, Fifty,
By Renaming Popular Ski Runs
Boulder, CO-- In honor of Warren Miller Entertainment's fiftieth anniversary film, Fifty,
many of the world's most renowned resorts are busy renaming one of their signature ski runs after a
favorite Warren Miller film title. Some resorts have even carved out new trails to commemorate the
cinematic celebration that kicks off the opening of the winter sports season each year. Others have
simply elected to rename an existing run. All resorts involved are creating new logos, signs and
trail maps in preparation for this anniversary celebration.
Warren Miller's movies have been breaking generation gaps for years. Renaming these runs will
continue to unite snowriders of all ages and bring back favorite Warren Miller moments from the
past. Whether hurtling down a chute called "Steep and Deep," named after the 1985 Warren Miller
film, or carving turns on a black diamond run named for the 1986 film, "Beyond The Edge," the
campaign is sure to become a historical keepsake of monumental impact for freeriders of every age.

This year's feature length movie, Fifty, has already been labeled by film critics as the
crown jewel of the Warren Miller collection. From the mesmerizing opening montage to the
spine-tingling ending, Fifty takes the viewer on a rollicking ride through a dozen exotic
locations and spectacular snow-covered settings. Whether it's the screaming descent from
Cotopaxi, a 19,347-foot volcano in Ecuador, or the pulse-quickening portrait of scenic splendor in
Innsbruck, Austria, Fifty is a tour de force for those who long to feel the freedom of fresh
tracks and witness the steeps, deeps, and leaps of fellow snowriders from around the world.
The 1999 national tour of Fifty, scheduled from October through December, is presented by
MountainZone.com and is co-sponsored by Janus, Mentadent, Motorola, Nissan, and Ocean Spray.
