Warren Miller's Golden Anniversary Film, Fifty,
Celebrates 50 Years of Snowriding
Annual Ski and Snowboard Film Tours the U.S. from October Through December
Boulder, CO-- The fiftieth annual Warren Miller film embarks on its national tour from
October through December. This year's golden anniversary feature-length film, Fifty,
showcases the world's top skiers and snowboarders at some of the world's most exotic locations,
along with more trademark humor and jaw-dropping action than ever before.
This year's Warren Miller film, Fifty, commemorates a half-century of winter sports action from
the master of cutting-edge ski films. In honor of Warren Miller Entertainment's fiftieth
anniversary, Fifty introduces a refreshing fusion of some of the greatest moments ever
captured on film by Miller's award-winning camera crews. The combination of watching some of the
greatest athletes on snow, along with some unexpected flashbacks of memorable events from the
past fifty years, creates a sensory overload that feels more like a celebration than a movie.
The soaring jumps, steep descents, and unbelievable crashes from stars, both present and past,
carry the audience through a time warp that is pure enjoyment. For the first time, Fifty
straddles the future and the past, giving a nostalgic look into the history of Warren Miller
Entertainment and celebrating the present ski culture. And it's all brought to life with a heavy
dose of wry humor from Miller and a thundering sound track that keeps the audience riveted in
their seats. Adding to the intense energy level, Fifty features contemporary artists such
as Barenaked Ladies, Collective Soul, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, Propellerheads and Tonic.
In keeping with tradition, the 90-minute film transports viewers into a fantasy world of real life
locations that would surely occupy the top of any freerider's dream list. Some of the international
highlights include:
- INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA: In the deep powder of the Austian Arlberg, see what some bad boys
on boards do to the traditional terrain.
- CHAMONIX, FRANCE: Simply one of the most spectacular exhibitions of extreme skiing you
will ever see on film.

equatorial volcano, three hardy freeriders conquer a blanket of snow and blue ice.
- BLUE RIVER, B.C., CANADA: The ultimate "peak experience" includes waist deep powder and
miles and miles of untracked perpendicular play.
In addition to the exotic foreign locations, Fifty also succeeds in capturing a plethora of
spectacular scenes and astonishing performances much closer to home. Local adventures include:
- VAIL, COLORADO: Camera crews track a visual symphony on snow as freeriders zip through
Vail's two new bowls.

Moseley hosts the Nissan Freeride Exhibition.

covered slope, as well as a few that defy the laws of physics.

- CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN, WASHINGTON: Four of the best snowriders in the world gobble up big air,
steep chutes, and deep powder without so much as a hiccup.
