Hey there Mountain Zone folks, this is Matt Szundy calling from camp 2 on Denali with the Alp 4 expedition.

Erik Barnes and I are very excited that we have moved up to camp 2 and are enjoying sort of whiteout conditions up here. And we have a new name for our expedition, we are now to be referred to as The Dozy Bonkers.

We have moved to a night schedule and we have done that because the glacier is in pretty thin shape for this time of year. So we have moved past most of the crevasses at this point in the evening hours.

"... Our camp 1 was put in in stellar shape, (we have three engineers on the team) so our posh tent and our three VE-25's and the wind walls around them were the cleanest, most precise wind walls I've ever seen..."

It's 6am right now and we are making camp. Just wanted to touch base on a couple of interesting things. Our camp 1 was put in in stellar shape, (we have three engineers on the team) so our posh tent and our three VE-25's and the wind walls around them were the cleanest, most precise wind walls I've ever seen on this mountain. So that's really good news.

This team is looking strong, everybody is really psyched and what else... Let's see, Tom's snoring has set off a few avalanches in the Alaska Range and other than that everything is going well.

We will definitely touch base with you soon when we have more exciting news, but for now we are just shuttling loads up the mountain and are preparing for climbing to the summit. So Matt Szundy and Erik Barnes touching base with the Dozy Bonkers. Talk to you later.
