Hey there, this is Dave Morton and it's May 28th, 11 o'clock pm Alaska Time and we are sending out the final dispatch of The Sunshine Boys, the second Alpine Ascents expedition.

We are at The Latitude in beautiful Talkeetna Alaska having a nice dinner. We flew off the glacier a few hours ago and had a great end of the expedition. Conan and I wanted to say congratulations to all these guys, everybody did a wonderful job on the mountain, they showed a lot of perseverance, a lot of heart, a lot of pride, a lot of attitude, which is really what it takes to get up this mountain.

"these guys did a great job of it with only a few little whimpers and whines and I think two fistfights that only lasted two or three blows apiece..."

Climbing Denali is a really demanding physical and mental challenge and these guys did a great job of it with only a few little whimpers and whines and I think two fistfights that only lasted two or three blows apiece. So all in all it was a great time. I wanted to leave the last words up to all these guys on the team so each of these guys have a word to say to everyone that was out there listening so I'm going to pass the phone off now:

Hi this is Charlie Singstad and I'm glad to be done with the climb. It's probably the hardest thing I have done in my life, but I'm glad I survived.

Brian: Hi, it was a great climb. We're glad to be back, the food was good and now back to Ron.

Hi this is Ron Farb, very happy that this climb is over, but I met some great guys, got to the summit, reached my goals, happy to be down safely and looking forward to seeing family and friends. Passing on to Ernst.

Hi this is Ernst. I just can agree with what Charlie said, it was one of the toughest climbs I ever did. I'm glad it's over, nobody got hurt and I guess we are all looking forward to seeing our families again. Passing on to Mike.

Hi this is Mike Rossi. I really enjoyed myself hanging out with The Sunshine Boys. The climb was really tough, however it was really rewarding. I'm looking forward to going back to San Francisco and spending time with my lovely girlfriend Annie. Now I'm passing off the phone on to my friend Conan.

Hi this is Conan, it was a great climb, great climbers and great weather. Jen, I love you, bye.

This is Ken Bacco, how are you? I just want to thank my lovely wife and Laura and Matt for letting me go. It was an incredible experience. The weather was fabulous, we had a great group of guys, good guides, and you know we did suffer a lot but we had a great time. Thanks, bye.

Dave: That's it from Talkeetna for the second Alpine Ascents 2002 Denali expedition. Bye bye.
