Brian Lopes (USA, Volvo-Cannondale) and Katrina Miller (AUS, Jamis) continued their dominance of the Swatch Dual World Series on Saturday evening, taking wins in the fourth stop of the UCI mountain bike world cup.

Just hours after the downhill event at Snow Summit, Lopes and Miller flew past several thousand spectators just as the sun set over Big Bear Lake. Lopes beat friend and rival Eric Carter (USA, GT) in the men's final run, while Miller beat local favorite Leigh Donovan (USA, Intense) in the women's final.

Lopes' win is his second in a row, as he has won three of this season's four rounds. His one loss thus far came in Slovenia, where he was eliminated in the second round. Miller, meanwhile, hasn't lost a dual all season and thus has a perfect score of 200 in the overall.

In the consolation rounds, Cédric Gracia (FRA, Volvo-Cannondale) beat Michal Marosi (CZE, Rock Machine) for third place, while Tai-Lee Muxlow (AUS, GT Hutchinson) beat Cheri Elliott (USA, Maxxis).

Absent from racing in this round were top contenders David Cullinan (USA, Schwinn) who is recovering from a crash in the NORBA Seven Springs event, and DH winner Missy Giove (USA, Foes/Azonic), who crashed in qualifying and didn't make the evening's final event.
