Dual Slalom #4
Jorgenson and Carter Take It

The dual course in Deer Valley was the smoothest and least-technical thus far this season. With little airtime or technical obstacles, this track provided great side-by-side racing for the large evening crowd. With the Saturday rains ended and clear skies, 32 men and 16 women got down to the business at hand.

Because the course rarely tripped up riders, it was up to the sheer speed of the racers to get to the bottom first and get as much time on his or her opponent. Sari Jorgenson (SUI, Yeti) did just that, beating Leigh Donovan (USA, Mongoose) in the final round. Cheri Elliott (USA, Intense/Maxxis) won the consolation round.

Eric Carter (USA, GT) edged out Brian Lopes (USA, Mongoose) for the second week in a row, the two So Cal boys railing the fast course for a close final round. Kirt Voreis (USA, Mt. Dew/Specialized) won the consolation round.
