Hi it's Ed Viesturs reporting on The Mountain Zone, it's April 20th and we're back up at Camp II. It was a fairly long day, we started at 5:00 this morning. It was quite windy to start with but then it finally died and it took us six and a half hours to get back up here to Camp II. Then we spent a half an hour or so digging out our tent which had been drifted in and then we spent the rest of the afternoon melting snow to re-hydrate and then we had an early dinner. And now we're in our tent, it's about 3:00 in the afternoon, the suns already behind a serac so it's starting to cool off.

So we're going to have a restful evening and probably plan on leaving here tomorrow morning at about 8:00 and climb up onto the plateau and establish Camp III. [Unintelligible] spend a very short night and then make a break for the top. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, the wind is going to die and we'll have clear skies. So that's it for now, I'll call again tomorrow from Camp III. Thanks a lot, signing out.
