Hi, it's Ed Viesturs reporting on The Mountain Zone. It's Sunday, April 18th, and we're back at Camp I, our ascent has begun. It was a very nice, beautiful, sunny morning. We left Base Camp at 6:00, got here at 8:30 and then the clouds in the valley followed us up and now we're kinda sitting in the middle of the soup.

It's chilly outside, so we're spending the whole day in the tent relaxing, we just had Sunday brunch. We brought with us some chapatti, some boiled eggs, some tuna canned in tomato sauce and some cheese. So now we're just relaxing, waiting for the sun to go down so that we can go to sleep and get up at 4:00 in the morning to begin our climb to Camp II. Tomorrow is going to be a fairly long day, we assume it will take six hours or so to get up to Camp II.

So that's it for now, we'll talk to you tomorrow from Camp II. Ed Viesturs signing out.

Ed Viesturs, Mountain Zone Correspondent
