Hello everyone at The Mountain Zone, it's Ed calling from Kathmandu. It's the evening of March 28 and we have good news. We're leaving tomorrow morning for Manaslu. We're going to be flying in a Soviet helicopter to a village called Philim and the altitude there is about 5,200 feet. We had originally planned to fly to a village called Quama, but because of the political situation and some elections going on and other things beyond our control, we won't be able to fly that far. But, this is a little better for us since we have to trek into the mountain for three or four extra days so that's going to be good for us to acclimatize and that type of thing.

So, hopefully tomorrow evening, when I make my next call, we'll be in the heart of cental Nepal on our way to Manaslu. Everything is set now; Veikka and I are ready to go and we're excited to be on the road. So I hope everything is well at that end and we'll be talking to you again tomorrow.
