For the fourth straight year, MountainZone.com will provide unparalleled live coverage this spring of all the action on Mount Everest. Join Alpine Ascents International and MountainZone.com as we trek through the Khumbu to attempt to climb Everest via the South Col route.

In conjunction with the climb, Alpine Ascents International will lead multiple treks to Everest Base Camp. Those interested can join renowned guides and trek to Base Camp. (The trek requires no climbing and is a reasonable outing for a fit enthusiast). Trekkers are scheduled to arrive at Base Camp about the time climbers will be attempting to summit. Alpine Ascents Internationals guides Todd Burleson, Wally Berg, Vernon Tejas and Jim Williams will lead the climb and treks. (As two treks are offered, guides will vary for each specific trek.)

A combination of Alpine Ascents guides—Todd Burleson, Vernon Tejas, Wally Berg and Jim Williams—will lead a team of experienced climbers on their attempt to climb the mountain.

The Everest 2000 site on MountainZone.com goes live on March 15. Live coverage of the action begins on March 25, as climbers and trekkers arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal, and prepare for their journey to the mountain.

Follow the day-by-day progress of the trekking groups and climbing teams right here on MountainZone.com. Through live audio, video, email and voice dispatches, the progress of the climbers (and trekkers) can be tracked day by day and even hour by hour.

Stay tuned for the millennium season on Mount Everest, one of the great adventures of our time.
