Kurt represents one link in a long line of snowboarding legacy. His three older brothers, who were pro riders before him, motivated Kurt to pursue a career in snowboarding. Kurt has done that, and now he's considered one of those guys who do tricks only a handful of riders can pull off.
Kurt is always a top 3 finisher in any big air contest and is the star of the new Mack Dawg snowboard film "AMP". When its time to grind, he likes burritos, lobster and steaks. If he wanted, Wastell could skate professionally, but prefers not to-he's happy snowboarding.
