I was charging the hills of Woodland Park in metropolitan Seattle, slashing grass and circling trees. As soon as my momentum would halt, I'd jump off, grab the metal rung at the tail end of the board and hike back up the hill. The whole experience brought me back...way back to my childhood. I thought I was sledding the frozen hills of the Midwest, but my digits weren't frozen and my kicks weren't snug in Sorels.
