mountainzone.com has been designed to take advantage of the latest Internet browser technology. We recommend Netscape Communicator 4.0, Netscape Navigator 4.0 or Internet Explorer 4.0 or above to successfully experience the site.

Internet Explorer 4.0 Bug Fix for Pop-up Windows
Certain versions of Internet Explorer 4.0 contain instructions in files which will prevent the proper functionality of pop-up windows on this site.

The problem is easy to fix:

  1. Click the Start button on the Windows toolbar, then click "Run."
  2. In the Open box, type: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
  3. Click "OK." You should see the following in a message box: "DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded." Click "OK."
  4. Click the Start button on the Windows toolbar, then click "Run."
  5. In the Open box, type: regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
  6. Click "OK." You should see the following in a message box: "DllRegisterServer in shdocvw.dll succeeded." Click "OK."
  7. Shut down your computer and restart Windows. (Important!)

Missing Frames
Resizing your browser while the site loads can cause the frames that make up the page to load improperly and disappear. If this happens, click the browser's Reload or Refresh button.

Video or Audio Replay Problems
If you're having problems playing video or audio clips, you may not have the necessary software installed on your computer. RealNetworks' RealPlayer is required to view and listen to streaming media on mountainzone.com. Don't worry -- it's easy to download and it's free. Click here to download it.

If, after downloading RealPlayer, you are still experiencing audio problems, please contact the Mountainzone help desk (see More Help below).

Cookie Setting
You may receive a message asking you to allow a cookie to be set.
Cookies are bits of information that are stored in your computer. They are used to identify and track information. Cookies are used strictly on your behalf, either for improving computer performance or enhancing your experience at mountainzone.com.
To accept cookies (recommended), follow these directions:

Navigator 3.x and above

  • Click on "Edit."
  • Click on "Preferences."
  • Click on "Advanced."
  • Check the box that says, "Accept all cookies."
  • Uncheck the box that says,"Warn me before accepting a cookie."

Internet Explorer 3.x and above

  • Click on "View."
  • Go to "Internet options."
  • Click on "Advanced."
  • Find the word "Cookies."
  • Check the box that says, "Always accept cookies."
  • Un-check the box that says, "Prompt before accepting cookies."

JavaScript Errors While Loading Page
If you are prompted about a JavaScript error, try reloading the page in your browser by clicking "reload" or "refresh" in the upper left-hand corner. This should allow the script to reload and perform properly.

JavaScript-Enabled Browser Error Message
If you receive a message stating that your browser is not "JavaScript enabled," you need to enable your browser for JavaScript. Follow these easy steps:

1. Figure out which browser you are using.
Browsers commonly display their brand name and sometimes the version number when you first start them. However, this startup screen may disappear too quickly. If this happens to you, simply select "Help | About..." from the main menu once the browser is loaded. The exact menu option may read "Help | About Internet Explorer," "Help | About Navigator..." or "Help | About Netscape...."

2. Find your browser type in the list below and follow the steps.

Navigator 3.x

  • Go to "Options | Network Preferences..." from the main menu.
  • Change to the "Languages" tab.
  • To enable: Make sure "Enable JavaScript" check box is checked. To disable: Make sure "Enable JavaScript" check box is unchecked.
  • Restart your browser.
Communicator 4.x
  • Go to "Edit | Preferences..." from the main menu.
  • Select "Advanced" panel.
  • To enable: Make sure "Enable JavaScript" check box is checked. To disable: Make sure "Enable JavaScript" check box is unchecked.
  • Restart your browser.
Explorer 3.x
  • Go to "View | Options..." from the main menu.
  • Change to the "Security" tab.
  • To ensable: Make sure "Run ActiveX scripts" check box is checked. To disable: Make sure "Run ActiveX scripts" check box is unchecked.
  • Restart your browser.
Explorer 4.x
  • Go to "View | Internet Options..." from the main menu.
  • Change to the "Security" tab.
  • Select "Custom" and click on the "Settings..." button.
  • To enable: Make sure "Enable" is selected under "Active scripting." To disable: Make sure "Disable" is selected under "Active scripting."
  • Restart your browser.
Reloading the page, rather than restarting the browser, may be sufficient with certain browser versions.

Printing Pages
If you're having trouble printing a part of the page, your browser may be printing the wrong frame. Use the following instructions to print:

If you are using Netscape version 3.0 or higher:

  1. From the page you would like to print, point your cursor on the object you would like to print and left-click.
  2. Go to File.
  3. On the pull-down menu, click "Print Frame."

If you are using MS Internet Explorer version 3.0 or higher:

  1. From the page you would like to print, place your cursor anywhere on the page (but not directly on an image) and right-click with your mouse.
  2. From the pull-down menu, click "Print."
  3. Make sure the box that says "Only the selected frame" is checked and click "OK."
