Team Australian
Edge arrives
11 To Go Before They Sleep

Today has seen a steady stream of teams arrive in Marrakech.

Of the teams still eligible to be ranked, there are still another 11 to reach the finish line. The two Moroccan teams, Gendarmerie 1 and 2, are expected to arrive to a huge welcome later this evening. We have already seen the Moroccans in action, and it's guaranteed to be a party.

It was great to see the winning Team Vail at the finish line last night to welcome home some of their fellow competitors. Team New Zealand Women, the only female dominated team to finish the event, ranked 15th and was elated crossing the finish line early this morning at 12:28am.

"I can't imagine a tougher experience — it is definitely a victory looking back on what we have been through..." — Chris Haggerty, Team Navigator

The New Zealand girls and their token male have done exceptionally well. With one of their members called in only six weeks before the event, they have placed highly, even beating the Navy Seals, Team Navigator...GO Girls!!

Team Navigator member Chris Haggerty was heard to say, "I always assumed successful adventure racing was finishing first, but I've learned a lot. I think finally I get it. I can't imagine a tougher experience — it is definitely a victory looking back on what we have been through"

Another great quote from the teams finishing today is from Team Stray Dogs navigator Isaac Wilson...

"As an adventure racer, I've trained my whole life for this. If you have to train for this, it's too late. Every year I get smarter and learn how to take better care of myself."
