CLICK TO HEAR THE CALL:
Hey, it's Todd. I'm walking around in the middle of the night here; I thought I'd give you a quick update. I think I just stepped in a whole pile of yak dung here.

Great day today. We were supposed to be able to fly today, but only two got in and it was our two, so all of our people got up. It was pretty nice to spend some time with Peter Hillary this morning. He and Edmund were at the airport. They're going out to visit a bunch of villages around that he sponsored. Edmund's just about to turn 80 years old, Peter said. He wasn't talking much, but he looks good and he was doing well.

Today, we had a good walk up, a little bit of rain this afternoon, but other than that, the skies were clear. Trails are good! All of our people are doing well. Had dal bhaat for dinner: rice and dal, sabji, which is vegetables. Gonna get up early tomorrow and head up and try and make Namche. Get there so we'll have a rest day and then have the market up there.

What else is new? Life is good in the Khumbu. Everybody seems to be good. We've got some neighbors next to us building a house. They chopped down this 60 foot tree and it took about 60 of them to run it up to make the beam across the house. There are quite a few trekkers up in the Khumbu right now, but it's real quiet where we are. Sounds like-I just talked to Lhatka, our sirdar, and he said Pete should be up on his way out of Namche in the last day or so, so I'm sure he's probably cybercasting. We're looking forward to catching up with him-seeing how all that goes-sounds like everybody's moving. Ed's out at Manaslu. All is calm in the Himalayas.

You guys take care, and we'll talk to you soon. Bye.
