Al Hanna, at almost 72, is preparing for his fourth attempt to climb the 29035' Mt.Everest and become the oldest person to reach the summit. A successful summit will also complete his bid to climb the seven summits, the highest point on each of the seven continents.

Hanna reports acclimatization is proceeding beautifully and ahead of schedule. Hanna's guide, Vern Tejas, noted that Hanna is moving very efficiently and looks stronger than he did two years ago when he guided him to the South Summit, at 28710'. Hanna is the oldest person to reach this elevation.

The expedition doctor, Bryce Brown of Canada, is also a repeat from the 2000 Everest summit attempt. He reports that Hanna and Tejas are both testing very healthy and are mentally upbeat and positive.
