Gloomy Weather on the Mountain Friday, September 5, 1997 (Everest North Face base camp, Tibet) It is pretty chilly up here. The sun decided to hide behind the clouds, so down jackets and pants are recommended. We had also quite a few rain drops coming down on us and the best places are the sleeping bag or the neighbor's dining tent and a cup of Colombian coffee. Six o'clock in the afternoon and Craig still isn't back at camp, which means that he couldn't get a ride yet. But this doesn't matter anyway with this kind of weather. Jimmy also decided to stay and wait for a more friendly outlook.
