Transcript:
Hi you guys, this is Craig Calonica. It is Friday the 29th, 9:30 in the evening.

I'm in Nyalam. That's just about two hours or so from the border if you don't have a huge landslide like what we had. We had to get out and ferry across quite a bit of cargo along a short stretch — it wasn't that far but there also weren't that many porters available to help us make this haul. Consequently it took us about four hours when we could have walked it in about fifteen minutes. Anyway, laid up our day. We were hoping to be in to Tingri and then tomorrow base camp. Instead tomorrow we'll be in Tingri and the next day base camp.

It's been raining like you could never imagine. There were downpours yesterday that were unbelievable, like three inches a minute or something — just wailing. I've have seen anything quite like it in my life.

Other than that, everything else is really going well. And expect to be looking at the big north face in here in two more days. I'll talk to you soon.

— Craig Calonica, Expedition Leader
