Moving to Camp II Mustagh Ata Base Camp - Thursday, June 22, 2000
Hi, this is Anne Ramsey, a new member of the East Ridge Mustagh Ata First Ascent team. We're at Base Camp right now, 4400 meters. It's a clear, sunny day; the weather has just broken after about a week of pretty bad weather. The team is getting ready to go up to Camp II, which is at about 6200 meters, and after that they're going to hopefully go up to Camp III and shoot for the summit somewhere between maybe the 24th and 25th. So, after a few days of not being able to report due to poor energy, the team is now on their way.
