TERMS AND
CONDITIONS

  • CREDIT CARD (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) prices are 2.5% higher than the cash discount rates. All prices are current at the time of posting (October 1997) and subject to change due to unforeseen changes in transportation, hotel, lift, international exchange or tax rates. Any changes will be reflected in a price adjustment at the time of final payment.
  • CASH SALES: Personal and cashier's checks are accepted for deposit and final payment if received greater than 30 days prior to departure. Full and final payments made within 30 days of departure must be paid with the accepted credit cards. Credit card payments will not receive the 2.5% cash discount.
  • RESEARCH DEPOSIT: For international packages $100.00 is due to research and make specific reservations. Should arrangements be secured and confirmed as requested this deposit becomes non-refundable and will be applied to the actual booking.
  • INITIAL DEPOSIT: $100.00 per person (unless otherwise noted) is due within 7 days of booking. Should instant purchase or additional deposits be needed for transportation tickets as defined by the fare - payment may be required immediately.

    AMTRAK - Full payment of the rail portion is due as determined by Amtrak, usually within 40 days of booking. Reservations made within 30 to 40 days of travel will require the entire amount due at the time of booking.

  • GROUPS (25 or more): $75.00 per person is due within 7 to 15 days of booking. Group final payment: All final payments and applicable rooming lists are due no later than 60 days prior to departure.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

  • AFTER INITIAL DEPOSIT: The cancellation penalty will be determined by the fare used. Complete penalties will be confirmed at booking. Rail, U-Drive and Group Packages: $25.00 - $50.00 per person is non-refundable. Specific policies will be reconfirmed upon booking.
  • FINAL: After final payment or less than 40 to 60 days prior to all deposits paid may be non-refundable. Any refunds are at the sole discretion and subject to the policies of the suppliers. Many travel tickets are non-refundable from the point of purchase. Clients could potentially lose everything and should purchase applicable Trip Cancellation Insurance.

  • If suppliers have substantially different deposit and cancellation policies, they will be presented at confirmation.


  • TRAVEL INSURANCE: We recommend Travel Insurance to all participants. Persons are often forced to cancel vacations prior to, or during travel due to unexpected injuries or illness.
  • DOCUMENTS: All applicable documents including tickets, detailed itineraries, vouchers and check-in details will be sent approximately two to four weeks prior to departure.


    REVISIONS: Unless otherwise indicated one change to the original reservation is allowed. Once Amtrak or travel tickets have been generated there is a $10.00 per ticket change plus any carrier imposed penalties. Any additional changes will be charged $5.00 per change plus any supplier fees or penalties. Changes after final documents have been issued will be charged $25.00 per change plus any supplier fees or penalties. Bookings and changes made within 14 days of departure will be charged an additional $15.00 to $30.00 per occurrence for special handling and delivery fees.

    COMPLIMENTARY ESCORTS: Usually, one complimentary ground package (lifts and lodging ) will be given for each 25 full paying persons traveling as a group on one itinerary (children paying on discounts do not count as full paying persons). In addition Amtrak will offer one complimentary travel ticket for each 20 full paying adults traveling on the same itinerary.

    CUSTOM PACKAGES FOR GROUPS or NON-SKIERS: We can provide complete packages to any of the enclosed resorts customized to your specifications and clients needs. This includes meetings, conventions and special theme tours.




    Responsibility: Mountain Zone Travel of Seattle, Washington and/or its agents act only in the capacity of agent for participants in all matters pertaining to accommodations, activities, and transportation whether by airplane, ship, railroad, bus, automobile, gondola, chairlift, snowcoach, snowmobile or any other means of conveyance and shall not be liable for any injury, accident, damage, loss, delay or irregularity occasioned by neglect or default of any company or person engaged in conveyance of passengers, housing of participants or supplying of services in conjunction with Travel Store packages. Travel Store reserves the right to withdraw a package, to make changes in the published itineraries, or to refuse to accept or retain any person as a participant at any time, whenever in their judgment conditions warrant, or if changes are necessary for the convenience, comfort or safety of the participants. Neither Travel Store and/or its agents are to be held responsible for the closing of access routes to or from resorts due to weather conditions or for lack of snow which may close down resort operations nor are they to be held liable for any additional expense, consequence or inconvenience resulting from the above conditions. Mountain Zone Travel will not be liable for a payment of refund for unused housing, meals, or activities occasioned by a late arrival, sickness or injury. All Travel Store prices are based on tariffs in effect at the time of publication of sales literature, and are subject to reconfirmation when final payments are made.




    STATE OF WASHINGTON SELLERS OF TRAVEL LAW


    Pursuant to current state law a number of details have been presented to you on invoices, travel documents and marketing materials. They include our registration number, complete cancellation, deposit and payment policies, complete package inclusions, suppliers used such as transportation companies, specific hotels and resorts.     This statement is required by the state: If transportation or other services are canceled by the seller of travel (Mountain Zone Travel), all sums paid to the seller of travel for services not performed in accordance with the contract between the seller of travel and the purchaser will be refunded within thirty days of receiving the funds from the vendor with whom the services were arranged, or if the funds were not sent to the vendor, the funds shall be returned within fourteen days after cancellation by the seller of travel to the purchaser unless the purchaser requests the seller of travel to apply the money to another travel product and/or date.
