Both Daniel and Andrew are firefighter/paramedics with the Bloomingdale Fire Department. Daniel is a little worried about the swimming portions of this race, as he is negatively buoyant, but he says his teammates are patient!

Primarily a marathon runner, Daniel's experience ranges from 30-mile flat course bicycle races to multiple day adventure racing. Dan's strength is endurance, a quality that should serve him well in Sabah. He also has experience caving, alpine climbing, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, white-water rafting, and scuba diving.
