Yuen-Li is the captain of the first Asian team to complete an Eco-Challenge. She is a former Outward Bound instructor, and was a member of the Ullswater Mountain Rescue Team. She has completed several long distance treks and climbs to over 14,000 ft throughout the Rockies, European Alps, Himalayas, Scotland, Switzerland, and the jungles of Malaysia. Yuen-Li is one the foremost rock climbers in Malaysia, and is also an experienced sea kayaker, horseback rider, and mountain bike rider. She guides whitewater kayaking trips and has competed in whitewater canoeing events.

Geoff was the Director of Operations of the Lumut Outward Bound School for the last 5 years. He now works for an adventure company in Malaysia. Geoff has taken part in many jungle trekking expeditions in Malaysia, Borneo, and Indonesia, and has climbed extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Australia. Geoff is a British Canoe Union instructor and has kayaked numerous whitewater rivers including the Tully and the Gundagai. He also has experience as a triathlete, horseback rider, mountain biker, and diver.

Kuyun grew up in around the jungles of Sabah, and his job as a park ranger has given him even more jungle familiarity. He has summitted many peaks in the mountain ranges of Kinabalu, including Mt. Kinabalu. Since 1990, Kuyun has participated in the Mt. Kinabalu Climbathon. He also competes in the World Mountain Running Trophy and the 10km Kinabalu Marathon. Kuyun is an experienced sampan and perahu paddler, and also enjoys rock-climbing, cycling, and orienteering.
