 | Sandra and Michael were long-time members of the Toronto Slovak Dancers Folklore Group, and they are volunteer members of the Canadian Ski Patrol System. Sandra and Michael cycled 4,400km together from Vancouver to Toronto. It was during that trip that the couple realized they wanted to get married! The couple thinks the race will test their relationship as it has never been tested before, but know that if they can get through this, they can get through anything. Paul started adventure racing this year, and absolutely loves it. He says he may change his mind after Eco-Challenge, though. Jarek is an ultimate Frisbee fanatic who says he would bring a Frisbee along with him to Borneo if his teammates would allow it.

Paul is a multi-sport athlete with experience mountain biking, windsurfing, skiing and snowboarding, scuba diving, canoeing, and backcountry hiking. He holds a level 1 rock climbing certification, and has played rugby at the collegiate level. Paul is also an accomplished swimmer and kayaker.
