Julio is the organizer of the Expedicio Mata Atlantica, an adventure race in Brazil. He climbed to the Mt. Everest base camp in 1996, attended Eco-Challenge School in 1997, and climbed Mount Kilamanjaro in 1998. Last year, he raced in four shorter course adventure races, garnering two first place finishes.
