Athlete Bios: Snowboarding Halfpipe

Shannon Dunn (USA)
Birthday: November 26, 1972
Home base: Steamboat Springs, CO
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 110

Shannon enters the 1998 season as one of the dominant halfpipe competitors in the world. Her results in the 1997 season were among the world's best. She continues to be a key athlete in the progression of women's snowboarding. Shannon's enthusiasm on and off the snow keep her very busy with a consistent competitive, promotional, and photo/film schedule.

Shannon has slightly redesigned her Burton pro deck, the Shannon 44 — she personally painted the new graphics for it and made it a little stiffer and more stable for landings in or out of the pipe. During the 1998 season, Shannon will be at all the major pipe competitions and riding pow with friends like Tina Basich and Nicole Angelrath.
