Ville de Mont-Tremblant - For the fifth consecutive year, Tremblant has been
voted the #1 ski resort in Eastern North America by the readers of the
prestigious American publication SKI Magazine. This is a remarkable
achievement considering it has taken Intrawest only ten years to transform
this jewel of the Laurentians into a veritable winter haven of international
renown.
"Being #1 is obviously wonderful, but being able to maintain this status
for five years in a row is extraordinary! It is important to underline the
contribution of employees, hoteliers and business people on-site, without
which we could not have achieved this honour," said Bryce Fraser,
Vice-President of Mountain Operations at Tremblant. Patrick Maheux, co-owner
of Café Ryan, is of the same opinion: "Such an honour can only be achieved
through incredible teamwork. This is excellent news for all business
owners."
Lodging at Tremblant
According to readers of SKI Magazine, Tremblant offers the best quality
lodging in North America. For the third year running, Tremblant has won in
this category. More than 1600 well-equipped units, located in a number of
slopeside hotel complexes, are available to our guests to ensure a memorable
stay. The latest news has delighted Denis Lagueux, Vice-President of Lodging
for Les Suites Tremblant, and Pierre Plamondon, General Manager of the
Fairmont Tremblant, who agree that, "It is a great comfort to know that our
efforts have been rewarded. The credit is due to the entire accommodations
team at Tremblant."
It was to be expected
Tremblant has come out on top among the resorts of Eastern North America
once more this year, with the readers of Ski Magazine awarding Tremblant the
gold medal for 9 out of the 16 categories. Besides lodging, Tremblant also
deservedly won the public's favour in the following categories: service,
après-ski, restaurants, lifts, family programs, food available on the
mountain, quality-price ratio as well as activities off the mountain.
