KILLINGTON, Vt. (November 22, 2002) - For 21 years, collegiate spring breakers
have chosen both snow and sun (instead of just
sun) in search of the ultimate
in college parties. With the number one apres-ski scene in eastern North
America and one of the top
five in the country, it's no wonder that more than
5,000 members of the Y generation make Killington their winter break of choice.
For the 22nd year, Killington will host its annual SprintŪ Collegiate Snow
Fest Dec. 16-20, 2002 and Jan. 6-10 and 13-17, 2003.
From returning seniors
to new freshman, Snow Fest '03 will be jam-packed with on- and off-snow events
and activities geared toward
the 18+ set.
"Killington is the place to go
to get away from the stress of school and to relax," according to Geoff
Burghardt, special events
coordinator. "With outdoor hot tub parties, a
bikini and boxer short party, free giveaways, and a spin-to-win competition,
you'll find
more action and excitement than you can handle in one week."
On- and off-slope activities make the party complete. Whether it's cruising
down trails, hitting the bumps or riding Killington's
Superpipe with 15-foot
walls, Killington offers the most terrain in eastern North America adding up to
endless adventures around the
mountain. There's the Spin-to-Win contest
presented by Fred's Freeride at the Killington Superpipe, where judges will
look for big,
tricked-out air from skiers and snowboarders. Students can also
relax at daily hot tub parties outside the Killington Base Lodge, kick
back
and listen to tunes. At the end of the day, the fun continues on Killington
Road, where there are many nightspots with live
entertainment every night,
including special entries for ages 18+ and local discounts on food at various
restaurants.
Specially-priced (a.k.a. college budget) Sprint Collegiate
Snow Fest packages start at $244 per person and include five days of
skiing
and riding and five nights of lodging with a valid college ID. All Snow Fest
activities are included. In addition, groups of 16 or
more receive a reduced
lodging rate. For more group information call 800.432.0100. College students
can also ski and ride with
Killington's reduced college season pass, which is
available for $399 until 12/16/02 and good anytime during the season.
