Roffe, the classic American skiwear brand where function meets form, fit
and fashion, introduces its Fall 2002 line designed for women alpine skiers
seeking both technical and style-conscious apparel. The 17-piece collection
of waterproof-breathable outerwear, stretch pants and RoffeFlex stretch
fleece components are available August 2002 with suggested retail prices
ranging from $60 to $275. According to Roffe(R) Vice President of Sales Roger
Bird, the small, but focused Fall '02 collection represents a renewed
commitment to the brand's heritage since it was acquired in August 2001 by
Pacific Trail, Inc.
"We are now poised to restore our product leadership position in the
industry," said Bird. "Our commitment is to offer products that stay true
to the positioning of the Roffe(R) brand. Thanks to Pacific Trail, Inc. we
also have the vast support network of customer service, production, sourcing
and distribution resources behind it". Bird added that Roffe(R) will offer an
expanded line for Fall '03, including a full men's collection. The outerwear
line includes four shell parkas in various lengths and one shell pant
featuring the new extremely soft and light weight Prima(tm) Cloth mini
ripstop nylon waterproof-breathable fabric. The shell fabric is fully tape
seamed with a 5,000mm laminate that is extremely breathable (20,000
g/m/24hrs).
All styles feature a soft, brushed tricot fleece lining,
detachable/stowable adjustable hood, powder skirt with gripper elastic,
underarm zippers, spandex storm cuffs, two-way zippers, goggle pocket with
brushed tricot facing and hand warmer pockets. Three of the four styles
offer lightweight, yet warm 100g DuPont(R) Thermolite(R) Ultra insulation for
added warmth and comfort.
Suggested retail prices include the Alta short
jacket for $235, the Vail mid-length jacket for $250, the Aspen mid-length
jacket for $265 and the Brighton parka for $275. Rounding out the outerwear
line is the Taos WPB pant, which features covered side-leg boot zippers,
internal gaiters with gripper elastic, a zippered hip security pocket and
Cordura(R) reinforced scuff guards. Suggested retail price is $150. The Fall
2002 outerwear line features four new colors including garnet, alabaster,
cypress and black.
For Fall 2002 Roffe continues with their popular stretch
pant line, including in-the-boot and out-of-the-boot styles offered in three
different fabrications: Roffe(R) Premiere 4-way Stretch, 4-way CZ Stretch by
Schoeller(R) and 4-way WB400 by Schoeller(R). All styles feature flat-seamed
nylon/Lycra(R) power mesh stirrups, full stretch comfort waistband, alterable
back seam and an interior stash pocket to storing money or personal
identification. Available in sizes 4 to 16 in short, regular and long
lengths, suggested retail prices range from $135 to $235.
RoffeFlex
collection of four-way stretch fleece components includes zip-tees and ankle
tights in lightweight, midweight and heavyweight options. Malden's
Polartec(R) Power Stretch(R) technology offers a smooth nylon/Lycra(R) outer
facing to resist wind for retaining warmth and abrasion resistance for
longer wear and easier layering. The non-pill fleece inner surface wicks
moisture and has an anti-microbial treatment to resist odor-causing
bacteria. RoffeFlex is offered in unisex sizes XS - XL, with suggested
retail prices ranging from $60 to $95. Founded in 1953, Roffe(R) has built
it's reputation as the classic American skiwear brand that delivers
functional performance skiwear with a focus on fit, form and fashion.
Roffe(R) products are available nationwide in specialty ski and sporting goods
stores.
