Pearl Izumi launches their fall 2002 line with two new
reflective pieces for serious cycling and activities where visibility and
versatility are most important. The Flash Jacket and the Therma Fleece Flash
Tight both provide comfort, high performance and increased visibility.
The Flash Jacket is a traditional, form fit cycling piece made with Pearl's
ZephrrŪ 2 fabric. This piece is wind resistant, water repellent and extremely
breathable. Features include a vented back with a hydrophobic mesh panel for
added breathability and reflective panels for increased visibility. There is an
angled chest pocket for easy access to storage in addition to zippered front
pockets. A microfleece collar adds comfort and additional insulation. The
jacket conveniently folds into a right pocket stuff sack for compact storage.
Suggested retail on the Flash Jacket is $109.99. It is available in sizes S-XXL
and the colors include Corona, Marnier Blue and Screaming Yellow.
The Therma Fleece Flash Tight provides comfortable performance in a wide range
of temperatures along with reflective elements for visibility. The tight has
excellent moisture-transfer, fleeced warmth and durability. Reflectivity is
positioned in high motion areas for 360-degree visibility. The reflective tape
is applied by a heat transfer, instead of silkscreen, for increased durability.
A flat braided waist drawstring provides adjustability without binding, and
8-inch ankle zippers with elastic gripper for easy on and off round out the
list of features. The suggested retail for the Therma Fleece Flash Tight is
$79.99. It is available in black, men's and women's specific sizing S-XL.
The Flash pieces are available at Pearl Izumi retailers as of July of
2002.
