PORTLAND, Ore., October 9, 2002 -- Chorus, manufacturer of progressive,
innovative snowboards specifically for women and the first snowboard company
founded by five professional, world-class female snowboarders, has launched
its 2002-03 web site at www.chorussnowboards.com.
The site features the entire team and highlights the newly attained status
of the founding pros, Cara-Beth Burnside, Leslee Olson, Roberta Rodger and
Tomo Yamakoshi, as part owners of the company. Also on the site is a wealth
of information on the three snowboard lines (cap, sidewall, and girls'),
including testimonial from the team on their favorite boards.
In keeping with the tradition of open access to the Chorus team, this year's
site will feature a photo gallery with many photos from the riders' personal
archives. Site visitors will also find e-mail addresses to correspond with
the team directly and a news section to follow new developments with the
team and company.
"Our first season was so successful, in large part due to the influx of
support we received, primarily through our web site," said Georell Bracelin,
Chorus Snowboards' brand manger. "Already this season there has been a
groundswell of web traffic, so we're glad to get the new site up and launch
into another great year."
Wordhouse Creative, a full-service advertising and marketing agency located
in Bend, Oregon again designed the site. With a portfolio that includes
web, print, identity, and television, Wordhouse Creative helps their clients
reach their goals through original, well-designed advertising and marketing
programs.
Chorus is the first-ever snowboard company founded by professional,
world-class female snowboarders. In October 2000, Chorus began
manufacturing progressive, innovative product for women only. Chorus
snowboards are built with women in mind, offering customized flex and shape
with a strong focus on freestyle performance. Although each rider works
with artists to design a graphic to suit her personality, Chorus boards are
not signature models. The team works closely together to test, ride and
collaborate on design of the entire line. Chorus offers cap construction
snowboards in five lengths from 142cm-157cm with a suggested retail price of
$385 and sidewall boards in lengths of 145cm, 150cm and 155cm with a retail
price of $435. The company also offers a girls' collection, featuring
boards in lengths of 118cm and 128cm, retailing at $199. Chorus snowboards
and apparel are sold at select specialty snowboarding stores worldwide. For
