Salt Lake City, UT. -- Black Diamond Equipment Ltd., a global
leader in climbing equipment, announced the debut of a new kayak security
bar developed in conjunction with core kayak manufacturer Liquidlogic.
New Liquid Logic Security Bars will be manufactured at the Black Diamond
facility in Salt Lake City and will be made of high strength aircraft grade
aluminum (7075-T6). The wide diameter of the bars are more ergonomic,
making them easier on the hands while also being approximately twenty
percent lighter.
The new security bar is part of an industry partner program initiated by
Liquidlogic. This program not only develops top-notch, functional products;
it also serves as a cross promotional vehicle, pooling the strengths of
leading manufacturers within the outdoor industry. Manufactured by Black
Diamond, the branded Security Bars will be standard on all Liquidlogic
whitewater kayaks and serve multiple purposes. They easily and securely
attach to Thule Car Racks; offer a solid anchor point in rescue situations
where hauling a boat may be necessary and serve as handles for loading and
unloading.
Black Diamond CEO, Peter Metcalf comments, " We are always interested in
providing innovative product solutions to outdoor consumers and are excited
to partner with Liquidlogic, an emerging, core company in the paddling
market." Metcalf continues, "Anytime we can contribute to the evolution of
new products in the general outdoor market, it is a winning situation for
all parties involved."
Liquidlogic president and co-founder Thomas Dempsey states, "Black Diamond
hardware and cross marketing efforts will help us all perform better and
really make our kayaks top notch." Dempsey adds "Liquidlogic was founded on
principles of bringing the highest standards to
everything we do and developing lasting relationships with market leaders.
Our relationship with Black Diamond helps inspire us to continue to be the
best!"
