Williston, VT-In a meeting with Dynastar employees on September 12, David Provost announced his resignation as Executive Vice President of Skis Dynastar Inc, effective January 1, 2003. Skis Dynastar Inc. is the US subsidiary of Skis Dynastar SA, the French ski company known widely for its Autodrive Technology skis and its Lange ski boot and Look ski binding brands. Provost has been with Dynastar for twelve years, first as Controller, then as VP Finance, and eventually as Executive Vice President since 1995. Before joining Dynastar, Provost was with the accounting firm, Deloite and Touche.

In announcing his resignation, Provost emphasized the positive timing of the decision. "Over the past sixteen months, we've made enormous strides in establishing Dynastar, Lange, Look, and Original Sin as the premiere specialist brands in the snow riding category. Because of these efforts, our brands are now solidly positioned to take full advantage of the exceptional product innovations that we are bringing to market. Dynastar Autodrive skis are winning over performance skiers everywhere, and the new Lange boots are redefining how well a true performance boot can fit." Provost also alluded to the significance of the company's recent investments in racing. "Considering that we have recently signed some of the world's best athletes, including Jean Pierre Vidal, Lasse Kjuss, Daniella Ceccarelli, Corrine Rey-Bellet, and Americans Erik Schlopy and Dane Spencer, I'm confident that this company is prepared for success."

Provost will remain at the helm through December 31, 2002 in order to create a smooth transition of leadership and give the company adequate time to name a replacement. Provost emphasized the importance of this transition and cited the company's ability to execute it with no interruption of its day-to-day business. As for his future, Provost remarked, "I never expected to be with Dynastar for the twelve years I have, so I can't imagine where the next move might take me. Wherever that may be, I'm looking forward to the possibilities."

According to Dynastar, a search for Provost's replacement is well underway and likely to conclude soon enough to allow the new Executive Vice President an opportunity to work side by side with Provost through the end of the year.
