Burlington, VT - August 19, 2002 - Gravis is proud to announce that it has added veteran So-Cal waterman Chris Drummy to the family as its new Global Team Manager. Drummy will be responsible for managing the numerous facets of Gravis' global Development Team comprised of top talent from the surf, snow, art and music world's. In addition to his team management duties, Drummy will also function as Gravis' new, dedicated Orange County, CA, sales representative.

Drummy brings a wealth of knowledge to both the team management and sales rep roles, as he has been traveling the globe for more than ten years as not only a pro surfer (won June's 2002 PSTA Pro in San Clemente, CA), but also as an action sports marketing professional. Drummy's business experience is vast, as he has had multi-level involvement with such companies as The Realm, Arnette Optics, Ocean & Earth Products, and Allycontainmentco. Over the years, Drummy has worn many hats at the various companies he's worked with, allowing him to gain a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to run and maintain a successful business. He has played an intricate role in a variety of areas including marketing, promotions, team management, sales, creative direction, product research & development, and advertising. Not to mention his grassroots industry involvement which includes the development of Arnette's amateur surf team in 2000, and coaching the Dana Hills High School Surf Team for the past few years.

With such deep roots in the action sports community, there is no doubt that Drummy is a valuable addition to the Gravis family, and Drummy is confident that he will bring a lot to the program as he proclaims, "Through traveling on the world tour [as a professional surfer], I have created solid relationships with almost all of the top surfers in the world. And working in the action sports industry has helped me create relationships with not just surf athletes, but skate/snow athletes as well." Plus, Drummy is conscious of the future and hopes to grow and strengthen Gravis' team as he states, "I'm always on the scene scouting new talent and personalities."

Although Gravis is based out of Burlington, VT, Drummy will remain in Southern California and will execute his Team Manager and O.C. Sales Rep responsibilities out of Gravis' west coast showroom located in Dana Point, CA.
