The biggest and most famous summer snowboarding camp in Europe celebrates its 10th birthday with a new location. Neustift im Stubaital is the new homebase of SPC55.

Stubaier Glacier made summercamp history between 1986 - 91, with legendary guest coaches such as Craig Kelly, Terry Kidwell,"Duck boy" Wallace, Bert Lamar and Jeff Brushie.

So "back to the roots" is the real headline for summer 2002. A lot of things have changed in the last 17 years since all started here on the Stubai Glacier. Snowboarding changed its freaky image of a handful yellow/pink styled pioneers to a youth influencing board lifestyle followed by millions of shredders. Pipes and Parks are now a days constructed and maintained by specialized machines instead of hand built by an army of diggers. The Stubai Glacier Co extended the rideable summer terrain and got double more lifts and summer terrain to use. Instead of 50 campers there will be about 400 board riders and free skiers. Year by year we are building up, more obstacles with more kickers, bigger pipes, additional rails in all variations and last but not least sun chairs for the spc55 chill area in the KingSizePark.

But the vibe and atmosphere is still kind of the same. Like back in the days, riders from all over the globe, pros and campers side by side, will meet again to celebrate the words of our slogan "ride, skate, eat, chill, party, sleep" SPC55 is heading with Stubai into a new area with designing an all new KingSizePark on a new glacier locating, new skate facilities, new party locations. All this gives our staff crew new motivation. Captain Kaos is inspired to push the summer camp limits to new heights and we are working on providing the best summer set up that we and you can imagine.
