Boots, Crampons, Gaiters
[ ] Climbing boots. Double plastic boots with Aveolite liners. Avoid tight fit with heavy socks.
Suggested: Koflach Arctis Expedition, Scarpa Inverno, Everest One-Sports. Everest - One sports.
[ ] Overboots. Fully insulated. (Not needed with Everest One Sport boots) Suggested: 40 Below K2.
[ ] Light hiking boots.
[ ] Crampons. Step-in bindings. Suggested: Grivel Step-Ins, Charlet Moser Rapid Fix.
[ ] Gaiters. Expedition gaiters with cordura on the inside. Suggested: Outdoor Research.
[ ] Booties. Polar guard. Optional.

Climbing Tools
[ ] Ice Axe. General mountaineering tool.
[ ] Carabiners. 2 locking; 6 regular.
[ ] Ascenders. 1 pair. Suggested: Petzl ascenders.
[ ] Rappel device. 1 Figure 8, ATC or Trango Pyramid.

Technical Clothing

[ ] Pile jacket & pants. 300 fleece with full side zips.
[ ] Down jacket. Expedition weight with hood. Needs to fit over all insulation layers. Outer shell must be windproof.
[ ] Down pants. Expedition weight to fit over all insulation layers. Outer shell must be windproof.
[ ] Gore-Tex shell top & bottom. Full side zips and bibs recommended. Suggested: North Face or Patagonia for all underwear and clothing.

Mitts & Gloves
[ ] Synthetic gloves. 2 pair Polypro or Capaline expedition weight. Suggested: Patagonia.
[ ] Pile Mitts and Gor-Tex overmitts. 2 pair.
[ ] Hand warmer. Optional.

Socks
[ ] Wool or pile socks. 4 pair heavy weight.
[ ] Silk liners. 4 pair lightweight.
[ ] Vapor barrier socks. Optional.

Headgear
[ ] Baseball cap.

[ ] Balaclava. 1 heavy weight, 1 light weight. Heavy weight should fit over light weight. Suggested: Patagonia.

[ ] Glacier glasses. 100% UV & IR, must have side covers. Suggested: Bolle and Ray Ban.

Sleeping
[ ] Sleeping bag. Expedition quality to at least -300. Down preferred.
[ ] Ridge Rest sleeping pads. 1 full length foam.
[ ] Therma rest pads. 1 3/4 or full length with repair kit.

Camping
[ ] Backpack. Internal frame pack 5,000 cu.in.
[ ] Daypack. Optional for trekking days.
[ ] Swiss Army knife.
[ ] Bic Lighter.
[ ] Plastic bowl, cup and spoon.
[ ] Water bottles. 2 1litre, wide-mouth.
[ ] Pee bottle. 1 1litre large mouth.
[ ] Sunscreen. SPF 40, large tube.
[ ] Lipscreen. SPF 40, at least 2 sticks.
[ ] Personal first aid kit. Aspirin, Moleskin, Adhesive tape, Band-Aids. Suggested: Adventure Medical Kits.

Traveling
[ ] Large duffel bags. 2 for transporting gear.

[ ] Plastic bags. To line stuff sacks to keep gear dry.
