Day 7 // Features // A Perfect Race // 3 of 3

According to Mark Burnett "It would have been humanly impossible for them to have gone any faster. They ran an absolutely perfect race."

The team crossed the finish line on August 27, at 7:13 am, and took a little over six days to complete the 320 mile (509 km) race course designed by Race Director Mark Burnett.

Team Captain Ian Adamson felt that they won the race because of extra rest they managed to steal along the course.

With clear minds, they finished strong while second place Team Spie and third place Team AussieSpirit.com had more difficulty navigating. After completing a perfect race, Team Salomon/Eco-Internet can rightfully be called the World Champion of expedition racing.
