Jonathan is a self-taught photographer currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Although he comes from a line of artists it was not until taking a job in the Canadian Rockies that Jonathan found a passion for landscape photography. "I was looking for a change and found it in the Rockies. The mountains are what inspired me to capture what I saw and express it in a very powerful way.

Being outside, alone in raw wilderness, is when I am most at peace with myself and my surroundings. I am always filled with so much awe during these moments in time and use photography as a means to share with others this reverence I have for the natural world. I always hope to bring these emotions into my pictures and find I am most successful when I focus on the simple and am prepared for the unexpected."

Although his photographs cover a wide range of subjects, the Rockies continue to be his source of inspiration. His immediate plans include trips to the Himalayas. He is also in the process of trying to get his work published.
