 Stephen Matera has been photographing sports and landscape images for eight years. He feels the two disciplines complement each other well. The landscape images focus on strong graphic elements and dynamic light on the landscape. The landscape images strongly influence his sports images. The result is often 'people interacting with the vertical landscape'. His passion for what he shoots comes from his love for the wilderness and is evident in his work. He hopes his images inspire the viewer to get out of the city and interact with the vertical world.
