Everest Cybercast Everest 2002: Vini, Vidi, Vici
This week on MountainZone.com. The 2002 Mount Everest expedition is wrapping up after an amazing months-long journey that saw 17 of our team reach the summit on the morning of the 25th and then, over the next few days, descend safely. It was a bittersweet climax for the team that hoped to get the youngest and the oldest climbers to the top of the world... For guide Luis Benitez summitting was more than a personal goal, he had a mission based on a promise made to bid a family's final farewell to their father, lost on the Slopes of Everest last year. All this and much more on MountainZone.com.

EVEREST: For Ingrid
"I looked down the face where Peter fell. I watched the sun rise over where his resting place used to be, and thought about the love one feels for a father ..."

CLIMB: Season on Denali
Latest: Teams 1 and 2 have successfully summitted Denali and are en route home, while 3 is moving up to Denali pass and 4 is shifting to night moves.

HIKE: Val Camonica
On the hike through the Riserva, the only warm-blooded units you will encounter have either feathers or four legs. Humans are scarce...

PHOTO: Larry Prosor
Capturing the moment of movement, Larry Prososr's photographs are a rich melding of color, light and classic composition.

EVEREST: Top of the World
From 30 below Celsius nights, to the departure of ailing Jeff Mathy to the turn-around of Al Hanna, 71, and and the thigh-deep trailbreaking, May 24 and 25 were a mass brutal challenges.

MT. BIKE: Oozing Euro Cool
World Cup action from Houffalize, Belgium, the place to win a race, with largest crowds of competitors and spectators we've seen in years.

GEAR: Arc'Teryx Gamma SV
We snowboarded in 28-degree conditions, hiked in the cold wind and drizzle - and rock climbed in frigid desert conditions .

"I often find myself handling the cameras with the same comfortable familiarity that I have for one of my ice axes ."
