A fun, amateur event that includes skiing with Glen and learning his cool tricks. Weenie Roast, poster signing and partying in the Sierra Pub afterwards. Sponsored by Toyota.

- National Safety Week

A week filled with fun activities that focus on safety on the slopes.

- Duraflame Sierra Ski Classic
Saturday & Sunday, January 26-27, 2002
A corporate ski competition pitting Fortune 500 companies from California and Nevada against each other in fast-paced ski racing fun.

- Guts and Glory
Saturday & Sunday, January 26-27, 2002
For men who ski or snowboard, advanced. $200 includes: Two lift tickets, 4-hour workshop each day, lunch, and party.

The Ford Ranger North American Championships. The final stop of a three event tour featuring the top snowboarders in the world competing for the $125,000 purse and air time on ESPN. Disciplines include big air, snowboard cross, and superpipe.

Elected officials escape from Sacramento to vie for the coveted fur-lined Cuspidor on the slopes and bragging rights far above their State House Chambers.

- KidsCross
Sunday, March 17, 2002
Fun boarder/skiercross competition designed for kids 15 and under. Local pro riders will be on hand to give tips and sign autographs. Tons of raffle prizes and goodies for all from Boeri and Smith.

- Snowbomb Sick and Twisted

Sunday, March 25th will be an amateur Superpipe competition hosted by Sierra-At-Tahoe and sponsored by Snowbomb.com.

- Boarding for Breast Cancer
Sunday, April 14, 2002
A youth focused snowboarding and music festival to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention. Past performers include Linkin Park in 2001, Mos Def in 2000, Blink-182 in '99, the Foo Fighters in 1998, Primus and Luscious Jackson in '97 and Beastie Boys in '96. Top snowboard pros add to the excitement with half pipe and big air competitions. All proceeds benefit breast cancer research and education.
