Truckee, CA — Northstar-at-Tahoe announced that it has contributed $20,000 to local educational organizations. The donation monies were raised during Northstar's annual Ski For Education Day, which was held on December 19, when guests could purchase lift tickets for only $20. Half of the day's ticket proceed were donated.

"We are very pleased that we were able to raise such a substantial sum to contribute to the local community," said Tim Silva, Northstar's general manager. "The employees at Northstar value the local educational system and are pleased to help out any way possible."

Ski For Education Day benefits local educational organizations including Excellence In Education and Arts For Schools. Nantucket Nectars, a sponsor for the event, contributed $1 for every ticket purchased and an additional $1 for every bottle cap returned to them.
