TerraGate 2 Hitch-Mount Bike Carrier The TerraGate 2 Hitch-Mount Bike Carrier is the crown jewel of Yakima's ROC collection. This innovative swing-away hitch mount provides maximum tailgate / hatch clearance and comes equipped to carry two bikes (it can be upgraded to carry four with the addition of a BedROC cradle). With or without bikes, the TerraGate swings completely clear of the back of the Xterra, allowing full access to the cargo area. An easy to reach foot-pedal release triggers the swing-away motion. The Carrier fits a 2" receiver hitch and is made with heavy-duty steel construction with an anti-wobble design. The mast allows for a bike stabilizier (ROC Soild - sold separately) as well as a locking system (StrataLock, or U-locks - sold separately).
