SnowROC This summer, I added a hitch-mounted bike carrier to the back of my Nissan Xterra, leaving room on the roof for me to stack my kayaks. Now that the fall has turned to winter, I was grudgingly facing the day I would have to take the time to switch my kayak rack for my ski rack - time better spent playing! Then I discovered Yakima's SnowROC ski rack, which mounts easily and quickly (literally in seconds) to my hitch-mounted bike carrier. With the skis positioned at the rear of my SUV instead of on the roof, unloading and loading the equipment has become a piece a cake, especially for someone as short as me. Made with heavy-duty steel construction, the rack holds the skis and boards high enough to clear steep driveways and tall curbs. The rack has adjustable, opening lower arms with two positions and a quick release pin.
